Make Your Space
by #Learnedman | Smiles R Contagious
So here’s the real: sometimes we find ourselves in rooms, environments, or circles where we feel like we should be acknowledged, included, or called upon—but we’re not. We’re overlooked, unheard, or simply left waiting. The invitation doesn’t come. The recognition isn’t given. And the door? Still closed.
But what if I told you—you don’t need permission?
Make your space.
That’s right. If you’re going to be in the room, you are allowed to create a presence, energy, and light that occupies and honors your purpose. Why? Because you are meant to be there. Maybe not in their spotlight, but in your own power. Because there’s beauty in recognizing that space is not limited—your energy expands it.
A few real-world reminders:
• Your name wasn’t called? That’s okay. Just be excellent in the role you were already holding down. They’ll circle back.
• You weren’t chosen to speak at the meeting? Cool. Ask one strong, insightful question that shifts the entire conversation. You just made your space.
• You weren’t invited to the committee? Start a project that they want to learn more about. Now your space speaks for itself.
Here’s the key:
Sometimes the room isn’t what needs changing—it’s the way you show up in it. You don’t have to be loud. Just be clear. And if the space still doesn’t feel right? Listen…
You have the right to dip. To detach. To recenter. Maybe it’s not about staying forever. Sometimes we exit temporarily to understand what we need when we return. That pause? That’s wisdom.
So today—make your space.
Breathe life into it.
Fill it with your purpose.
And don’t wait on applause to know you’re needed there.
You were already enough when you arrived.
