Yes—Lonely at Times, But Never Alone

By #Learnedman | Smiles R Contagious

Sometimes the road is quiet,

but quiet doesn’t mean abandoned.

Sometimes the crowd is gone,

but God never left the room.

Amen! Take it one day at a time.

Life will hand us burdens—sometimes light enough to carry without much thought, other times so heavy they seem determined to bend us. But here’s the truth: with the knowledge and wisdom we’ve gained, we don’t have to keep walking down the same streets that led us into trouble, pain, or regret before.

Isaiah 54:17 is my anchor. It says, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” Notice it doesn’t say weapons won’t form. They will—that’s a given. People will misunderstand you. Circumstances will challenge you. Storms will show up uninvited. But the victory is not in pretending the weapons aren’t real—it’s in how you respond when they do appear.

Over the years, I’ve learned to pause in the moment and ask myself: “What is this teaching me?” That simple question has shifted me from bitterness to growth more times than I can count.

Sometimes doing the right thing will put you in rooms where your chair is the only one filled. It can feel lonely—like no one is cheering for you, standing beside you, or even noticing. But let me tell you, lonely doesn’t mean you’re alone. There’s a difference.

Lonely is about the absence of people. Being alone? That’s about the presence of God, your values, your peace, and your purpose standing beside you even when human company is scarce.

So if you find yourself on a road less traveled, with fewer voices around, don’t panic. That path may just be the street you were meant to walk—one where the weapons form, but don’t prosper, and where your growth speaks louder than any crowd could.

And remember… Smiles R Contagious. Pass one along—even if you’re the only one in the room.
