Fever our Spirit, our Peace, & our Presence!
By #Learnedman
A fever is never just a fever. It’s a signal. A flashing light. A message from the body that says, “Something’s off.” When your temperature spikes, it demands attention—rest, medicine, water, maybe even a doctor. But one thing is clear: it doesn’t let you ignore it.

But what about the fevers we can’t measure with a thermometer? The kind that rise inside our spirit, our peace, our presence?
In life, just like in health, we must learn to catch the signs before the fever hits. We often wait until the heat becomes unbearable before we check in—on ourselves or those we care about. But why wait until we’re sweating from stress, snapping from pressure, or silencing our inner voice just to survive the day?
Sometimes, it’s as simple as placing the back of your hand on your own head—metaphorically speaking. A moment of stillness. A pause. A “how am I really doing?” Sometimes it’s asking a friend, a colleague, or a child, “Are you okay?”—not casually, but intentionally.
Fever forces us to respond. But presence invites us to prevent.
That means doing regular pulse checks on our mindset, our relationships, our goals, and our joy. It means grabbing the thermometer before we crash. It means paying attention to the tension in our shoulders, the tone in our voice, or the silence that lingers too long in someone else’s reply.
Checking our “temperature” isn’t a once-a-year wellness goal—it’s a daily life practice.
So ask yourself:
• Am I present?
• Am I aligned?
• Am I walking in peace or burning up inside?
Do the check. Do it often. And when you feel a shift—honor it. Reset. Hydrate your spirit. Rest your mind. Move your body. Reconnect with someone you love. Or just take a moment to breathe deeply and feel the gift of right now.
Because catching the fever early—or even before it starts—might just be the most powerful act of self-awareness and care you can give yourself… and those you love.
Stay present. Stay positive. Stay peaceful.
Your temperature tells the truth. Are you listening?
