Arriving Takes Time

There are moments in life when the journey feels longer than expected. You set out with one plan, one route, one timeline—and then reality shifts. Suddenly, the road you thought would take three hours ends up being four. Or your direct flight is rerouted with a layover in another city. Frustrating? Sometimes. But here’s the beauty: regardless of the detours, delays, or changes in direction… you still arrive.
I remember a drive between two cities where GPS gave me two options. One route was shorter on paper, but filled with stoplights, small towns, and traffic. The other was longer in miles but smoother, steady, and allowed me to breathe along the way. In the end, both paths brought me to my destination—different experiences, same fruitful result.
Life is often the same. You may be rerouted, slowed down, or forced to pause for a “layover.” You may even question if you’re on the right road. But remember: arriving takes time. And when you do, the celebration is sweeter, because you not only made it—you grew stronger, wiser, and more prepared along the way.
So if you’re in a season where the journey feels longer than expected, take heart. Every mile, every pause, every reroute is still progress. And your end result will be fruitful, marked by the undeniable truth:
You made it.
